Terms and Conditions of Entry:
1. Information on prizes and how to enter
form part of these terms and conditions of entry. 2.The
Promoter is International Pen Friends (IPF - ABN 80 070 592343),
PO Box 156, Suffolk Park, NSW, 2481, Australia. 3. Entry is open
to current paid subscribers of People & Places magazine (at
least the 2005 No. 1 edition or 2006 No. 1 edition.) 4. The competition
commences 16 December 2005, and entries must be received by 5
pm AEST Thursday 31 August 2006. 5. Only one entry per subscriber
is permitted. 6. No responsibility accepted for lost, late, illegible
or misdirected entries. 7. This is a competition of skill and
chance plays no part in determining the winner. 8. Each entry
will be individually judged based on literacy, creative merit
and originality. 9. Judging will take place from 1-7 September
2006 at the Offi ce of the Promoter by IPF Head Office staff.
10. The winners will be notifi ed by airmail by 30 September 2006.
11. Payment will be made by Paypal or US$ bank draft or a bank
draft in the winner’s local currency (at the exchange rate
on a day in September 2006 nominated by the Promoter and as advised
by the Westpac Bank, Byron Bay, equivalent to the US$ value of
the prize). The Promoter is not responsible for any bank fees
or other fees or charges associated with the prize money being
deposited into the winners’ Paypal accounts of the prize
money being banked by the winners. 12. Prizes are not otherwise
transferable or exchangeable. Total prize pool valued at US$175.
13. The winning entries and photos will be published in the fi
rst edition of People & Places magazine after the competition
winners have been selected. 14. Address details of entrants will
not be published (unless requested by the entrant/s). 15. The
Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will
be entered into. 16. All entries, including the copyright in the
same, will become the property of the Promoter and cannot be returned.
17. The Promoter, its contractors, employees and agents, shall
not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs
and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not
limited to indirect and consequential) as a result of, arising
out of or in any way connected with the competition and/or its
prizes, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. 18.
The Promoter shall be entitled to reproduce, publish or make use
of any entry free of charge for any purpose and in any way it
chooses, without the prior knowledge of the entrant. 19. Entry
into the competition shall be deemed acceptance of these terms
and conditions of entry.
Privacy
Notice: The Promoter collects personal information for the purpose
of administering the competition. If personal information is not
given, participants cannot be entered into the competition. Entrants
may request access to their personal information while it is stored
by the Promoter and the Promoter will assess all requests in accordance
with the law. If access to personal information is denied, reasons
why will be provided. A request to access, update or correct any
information should be directed to the office of the Promoter.
