IPF can provide you with new friends in your own age group from many countries around the world. Our pen pal club has over 300,000 members aged from 8 to 80 in 192 countries.

Since 1967, IPF has provided more than 1.5 million people aged from 8-80+ with pen pals. Our solid membership base, commitment and service has led to us being recognized as the world's leading pen pal club.

It is possible to join IPF individually, with a friend or as part of a school class or youth group. In every instance, each member is provided with a personal list of pen pals who have been individually matched according to age group, hobbies and interests. Each member's name is also given to other members of the club. This system enables members to commence their pen pal hobby by writing introductory letters to the people on their list, and to receive surprise introductory letters from other members.

IPF does not use the Internet to match pen pals. IPF's objective is to keep the art of letter writing alive and to use that form of communication to encourage worldwide friendship. At the same time, many members exchange e-mail addresses and incorporate a variety of communication methods into the pen pal hobby which we support.
